Investigation revealed a southbound Audi failed to yield and collided with an eastbound Jeep. John David Jones, 61, of Sedalia, was put on a 24 hour hold pending the filing of formal charges of Unlawful Possession of a Concealable Weapon, Possession of a Dangerous Drug, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. ![]() The owner of the car, who was the passenger and is a convicted felon, claimed ownership of the items. A probable cause search of the car yielded a gun, methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia. However, during the course of the stop, the driver committed a moving violation. The stop was originally to check if the registered owner, whose driving privileges had been revoked, was driving. Sunday afternoon, Officers stopped a car in front of the Pettis County Sheriff's Office on South Lamine Avenue. No charges are being requested at this time. The subject was gone on Officer's arrival, and a general information report was taken. Watt reported a male walking around their property with an axe. The report was completed to log these events.Įarly Monday morning, Officers responded to the 1600 block of East 6th Street for a report of a suspicious person near the property. Investigation revealed that an argument had occurred, and there had been some sort of assault, but Police were unable to determine a primary physical aggressor. Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 600 block of South Moniteau Avenue Sunday afternoon for a report of a disturbance. Charges are being requested through the Pettis County Prosecutor's Office. The driver was found to have a suspended driver's license. Bowers reported his unlocked car had been gone through while he was playing baseball.Įarly Monday morning, Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of West 16th Street and South Ohio Avenue for an equipment violation. Sedalia Police responded to the Sedalia Parks and Recreation, 1500 West 3rd Street Sunday night for a report of theft from a vehicle.
